Abstract


Hemorrhagic stroke is a medical emergency that requires rapid intervention to reduce the risk of complications and mortality. This case report describes a 48-year-old woman who experienced a sudden loss of consciousness and was diagnosed with hemorrhagic stroke accompanied by pulmonary edema, hypertensive emergency, hypokalemia, and reactive hyperglycemia. Imaging results revealed intracerebral hemorrhage in the right hypothalamic region, right thalamus, and pons, with complications of non-communicating hydrocephalus. The patient received management in the form of mechanical ventilation and pharmacological therapy for condition stabilization. A multidisciplinary approach is necessary to manage this complex condition and improve patient prognosis. This report aims to discuss the challenges of managing hemorrhagic stroke patients with systemic complications in the ICU.
