HUBUNGAN ANTARA EMOTIONAL EATING DENGAN PENAMBAHAN BODY MASS INDEX DI MASA PANDEMI COVID-19
Abstract

ABSTRACT
The COVID-19 pandemic has a major impact on human health, with the isolation policies at home and social distancing causing increased stress compared to the usual situation (before the pandemic). Stress levels affect a person's diet. Eating patterns that are formed to respond to negative emotions from stress are called emotional eating. Someone who experiences emotional eating generally eats sweet foods to relieve stress. This study aims to collect and analyze the impact of emotional eating on nutritional and health status in someone experiencing stress during a pandemic. The design used is a literature review, articles are collected using search engines Google Scholar. Based on the articles collected, it was found that the increased stress during the COVID-19 pandemic caused changes in a person's diet. “Finding comfort in food” is a person's way of dealing with stress in the midst of a pandemic, which is a hallmark of emotional eating. Consumption of food due to emotional eating has an effect on increasing a person's body mass index (obesity) value and increases the risk of inflammation in the body which has a negative impact on health during the COVID-19 pandemic.
