PERANCANGAN DESAIN APLIKASI VIDEO PEMBELAJARAN BERBASIS WEBSITE DI PUSTEKKOM – KEMENDIKBUD JENJANG SEKOLAH MENENGAH PERTAMA

Abstract

The development of knowledge has been growing more complex in many sectors, which lead to give impacts in our lives. Furthermore, education is moving forward dinamically, especially to invent media, methods, and curriculums attractively and interactively. Pusat Teknologi Informasi dan Komunikasi Pendidikan (PUSTEKKOM) is a institution under the authority of Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan (KEMDIKBUD) or The Indonesian Education and Cultural Ministry. PUSTEKKOM has several services of education one of them is radio broadcast in the title of Suara Edukasi. But, Suara Edukasi has not fully given its best service and plan to reinforce its website, which is previously only show the podcasts that had broadcasted on the radio. With the only podcast content, author sees the website has significant low viewers than it used to. The decreasing of the viewers may be caused by some factors, one of it is the content is limited and less attractive, whereas that the target of the content supposed to be elementary students.  Therefore, a hypermedia learning website is needed to add more services like videos, audios and support materials. The author uses PIECES method on analyzing problems and Waterfall method on designing the system. This website is hoped to help on increasing the elementary students’ interests and talents which lead to fulfill the national education aim.
